About the training
TRAINING - BODY THERAPIST ACCORDING TO AYURVEDA
The Ayurvedic body therapist is able to define an individual's imbalances (Vikriti) and can offer suitable external treatments while providing basic nutritional advice.
Theoretical study is an integral part of the training and is addressed in each module. The study of the book "PRAKRITI" by Dr. Robert SVOBODA is required, and case studies will be presented throughout the course.
We prioritize direct contact with students through in-person teaching and personalized guidance, viewing the learning of Ayurveda as a personal journey. We celebrate Ayurvedic rituals while respecting each individual's beliefs, inviting them to connect with the spiritual dimension of this practice.
EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES
° Understanding the foundations of Ayurveda and its holistic approach to health
° Identify constitutional imbalances (Vikriti)
° Master the main Ayurvedic body care techniques
° Adapt care according to the constitution (Prakriti) and needs of the person
° Integrate the basics of Ayurvedic diet and lifestyle
° Develop a conscious and professional quality of touch
EDUCATIONAL CONTENT
The course consists of six complementary modules, allowing students to progressively acquire the theoretical foundations and the main Ayurvedic body techniques.

For example, for module 1, you will need to pay €434 (€550 - €116), for module 2: €74 (€190 - €116), and so on.

° A WHATSAPP group is created before each training session so that participants can exchange information before and after the training (carpooling, sharing photos/videos etc…).
A protocol outlining the steps of each massage is provided to participants for all modules except Shirodhara (an intuitive treatment that does not require a pre-established protocol), Marma Therapy, and Nadi Pareeksha with Dr. Sankar. We strongly encourage note-taking even before reading the protocols; this is essential so that each participant's understanding of each massage and the terminology used for each movement are unique to them. We do not encourage imitation, and our practice is "living" in the sense that our protocols evolve.
Videos are permitted during the second demonstration. Ideally, only one person films and shares the video on the WhatsApp group. At each stage, we always offer a minimum of two demonstrations with volunteer students and a minimum of three practice sessions between students (often four). We place great importance on ensuring that each person leaves the training with no unanswered questions.
Contraindications: A certain level of mental and physical balance is required. This balance is sufficient to give massages without discomfort, receive massages several times a day, integrate into a group of 8 or 10 people without any particular problems, and complete your training. Training is a commitment; if you lack stability and are unsure whether you will complete your course or internship in its entirety, it is best to wait until you are ready.
° Personal work: each treatment studied must be practiced at least 10 times outside the center (i.e. 80 hours) and a minimum of 20 hours must be devoted to the study of text before the exam (which should naturally continue after the training).
A certificate is issued after modules 1, 6, Ayurvedic Nutrition, Gynecology & Fertility, Marma Therapy, Nadi Pareeksha, Kalari, Deep Connection, and Pregnancy. The other modules are validated by a certificate of completion.
° Certificates are not "given out" , the BODY THERAPIST IN AYURVEDA course is validated by a score of 14/20 on the theoretical exam and a positive evaluation from the client on the practical exam.
° In case of failure, trainees are free to retake their exam at the center in the next session free of charge (one session every 6 months).
° Each year two courses are offered (according to the schedule), in case the dates of the following modules do not suit you, you can opt for the dates of the 2nd course.
° Modules 2, 3, 4 and 5 are accessible at any time, to any person who has validated module 1 or to Ayurveda professionals after an interview.
° Module 4 is open to everyone at any time with the possibility of doing only one day (Kansu bowl or Saundarya).
° Module 6 can only be completed after modules 1 to 5 have been validated.
° After their studies and depending on the possibilities, certified practitioners can join the Ô BANYAN care team as part of Ayurvedic treatments in France.

🔎 MARMATHERAPY: This training is not included in the full curriculum as it is specialized. It requires a minimum of experience in Ayurvedic massage and a good foundation in Ayurveda. However, throughout the curriculum, we review the marma points of Abhyanga massage several times to ensure their integration.
The Marmatherapy course is taught by Dr. SANKAR every year in our training center, but initially we recommend that our students complete their coursework in order to integrate the acquired knowledge.
